Investment overview

Frigotecnica Industriale Chiavenna SpA (“FIC SpA”) is a leading company in designing, producing and distributing heat exchangers based on the “pillow plate” technology, and of other refrigeration solutions used in the food industry and in the last-mile distribution of frozen food.

The increase in demand of heat exchange batteries – guided by the necessity to optimize energy efficiency in several industrial processes – allowed FIC to grow the revenues of the Industrial Division since 2019 by an average annual rate (CAGR) greater than 20%.

The deal is finalized to support – even with the implementation of the Windex Transformation System – the growth path of FIC with investments aimed at optimizing the productive processes in a lean manufacturing perspective, at increasing the installed production capacity and supporting the commercial development in some strategic foreign markets such as North Europe and Norh America. Furthermore, the development of other new heat exchange solutions will be the basis of the product strategies, confirming the technological and productive leadership of FIC.
